I am a community organiser and psychologist. I was brought up in the UK by South African parents who were vocal about the evils of apartheid and who instilled in me early that you should not accept the world as it is, that we have to challenge injustice when we see it and invest in loving and caring for others. This upbringing, together with an entrepreneurial streak has framed my professional journey.
I started this website as a place to write about my own musings on how creating power within communities can lead to individual transformation and wellbeing and pathways to tackling injustice. I also wanted to explore other themes relating to the field of community psychology and to shine a light on people at the forefront of this work.
